VisionOur heart is to see young people in New Zealand encounter the person of Jesus and embrace His calling on their lives; equipped, empowered and released to live for Christ wherever they go, whatever they do. ValuesWorship Evangelism Social Justice The Holy Spirit Soul Survivor New Zealand is not a conference, it's a community.SSNZ is a network of people committed to living for Jesus. It's not just a heart and mind thing, it's a hands and feet thing too. In addition to the annual festival at Manfield Park in Feilding, we'll also have a number of events throughout the year which follow our vision. We don't want to just learn more about it, we want to live it. If there's a youth group of 3 or a community of 300 that would be blessed by a team to help run a youth programme, social action, or training event, then we would love to be there. We want to get alongside groups big or small to share, dream and walk together. Not to take over but to get alongside. Not to compete with but to serve. Most of all we really want to become friends with a whole bunch of youth groups and communities. We will link groups with shared values and visions so that we can bless and encourage each other as we share our ideas, successes and the lessons learnt from our mistakes. Soul Survivor is a network of Kiwis who work together to live out the life of Jesus in the mundane and the everyday, and who join together throughout the year to share and to celebrate what God has been doing. Soul Survivor New Zealand isA member of Soul Survivor International, a mutual partnership of autonomous Soul Survivor organisations that aspire to be a global Christian family. SSNZ is a charitable trust. Committed to serving the whole Church in New Zealand. We work in co-operation with local churches and other organisations, seeking and valuing God’ inspired relationships. Relational. We value informality and fun. We take God seriously but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. While we look for excellence in all that we do, we will sacrifice professionalism in favour of being relational. Kiwi. We seek to be culturally relevant to young New Zealanders and therefore not rely on personalities or "big names" for success. We will encourage creativity in expressing the values of Soul Survivor within our own culture and context. Soul Survivor New Zealand is notA Church or a denomination. We are not a church and will not plant a church, but seek to serve existing churches and to work co-operatively with churches who share the Soul Survivor values. We have a particular desire to enhance ministry in smaller churches and in places where resources are limited. |
